A Historic Adventure Package
Your experience will begin with a walking tour of Historic downtown Jim Thorpe, one of the coolest small towns in America. Known as Little Switzerland because of its beauty, Jim Thorpe is also the final resting place of the “Greatest Athlete in the World.” In less than 2 hours, you will learn how the discovery of coal led to development of canals & railroads which created immense wealth for Asa Packer and others, who created amazing architecture and culture, until the Depression took it all away for over 50 years - but in the 80’s & 90’s the town came back! After you have soaked up all the local history, your next adventure will be navigating your way down the Scenic Lehigh River at your chosen level of whitewater (see below). Our friends at Whitewater Rafting Adventures offer a great experience on the river, whichever trip you choose.
Package Includes- Walking Tour Guide, all Rafting equipment (raft, paddle, life jacket, waterproof lunch container), guides, parking, shuttle to and from the river.
